Fred Hartman Bridge at Sunset Panorama - Color Canvas Print
This is the Fred Hartman Bridge at sunset pano outside of Houston which runs across the ship channel between Baytown and La Porte Texas. Ships come in from the Port of Galveston from the gulf of Mexico and move up towards the ship channel. This is a very long texas bridge which runs about 2.6 miles. On this day we had been in the area and decided to go see if we could capture it and boy did we get an incredible sunset of this texas bridge. The colors were spectacular. These Texas bridges which replaced the Baytown tunnel which went under the water. They need to dig out the ship channel to allow for the bigger ships was the reason for the new bridge. As a child we would drive through the tunnel and I was always scared it would collapse on us now at least that not a worry.
